Getting away from Reality

Above is one of many many many great scenes from Black Books. But why can't I get to hide from life and its minions underneath a table with a good book and a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster? I could use that right now.

Fight Club is one of my favourite movies of all time and this poster you see below really inspired some feelings of nostalgia when I saw it. And reminded me that I need to do a rewatch. Again. I had a habit of watching this whenever I had a high fever and since I haven't had a spell of high fever in a while... Well, no luck. Just try it yourselves and tell me it doesn't carry a certain appeal.

DON'T PANIC

I've got 3 hours left until deadline and need some 200 more words for that hellish essay. I haven't slept properly since friday and am feeling more than a bit pressured at this point. I sure as hell shouldn't sit here and oogle through Tumblr again. My brain is still missing and I know this is going to be pure disasaster. It's not the end of the world to be honest, I could write some complementary words once I get the essay back with comments but... yeah. When will I learn though?

Die William, die...

Every damn time I watch The Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl I think to myself "this is some amazing music" but  then I get frustrated and think "why can't William Turner just get on with it and DIE?!?" It would have solved the issue with the two incredibly useless sequels.
Just sayin'.

I just realized I have no clue what I'm doing.

Essays again

End of the semester and two days until I have to hand in a short essay. I'm writing about the importance of gender in the genocide of Rwanda 1994. Very uplifting stuff, eh? That's why I'm spending ridiculous amounts of time on Tumblr and watching Disney movies. I'm just going to ignore it for a while longer.

Lets forget 2012, Happy New 2013.

So.
It's 2013 now.

2012 was the year...

• ...I moved to Gothenburg.
• ...I had 14 866 visitors to this blog. Impressive, eh?
• ...that I discovered Doctor Who and Sherlock and thereby had my life enriched.
• ...I discovered new friends.
• ...I became a Tumblr addict. It. Never. Ends. I can't even...
• ...one of my best friends and I went to New York together to celebrate our decade of friendship.
• ...I cut my hair off and loved it.
• ...Diablo III was released, I got it and I wasn't very impressed. I'm still playing occasionally and am still not impressed.
• ...I got a new job.
• ...I became an aunt for the third time in my life.
• ...I didn't go to The Medieval Week on Gotland.
• ...my tattoo got a little bigger.
• ...I started following the awesome John and Hank Green on Youtube (Vlogbrothers). DFTBA.
• ...my wait for The Hobbit finally came to an end.
• ...the world was supposed to end too but... didn't.

All in all a year like any other I suppose.

For 2013 I'd like more of everything that's good. A lot of great movies coming up this year. I've decided to go to Gotland this year because I'm actually missing all that medieval fun and it's their 30th anniversary. A bigger tattoo perhaps? Yeah. Time will tell. I'll finally get my university degree.
